Building on the strength of the previous three strategies on Information Technology in Education, the Education Bureau has just released the consultation document for the Fourth Strategy on Information Technology in Education in May 2014 which focuses on realizing potential and unleashing the learning power of our students to learn and to excel. In aligning to the theme of this year’s CITERS “Learning without Limits?”, the closing panel is organized with an aim to invite senior official from the government to give a brief introduction of the Fourth Strategy and highlights the enhancements in curriculum, IT infrastructure in schools, school professional leadership and capacity and e-learning resources and other aspects covered in the Fourth Strategy. Different stakeholders in education as panelists will then exchange their views on the new consultation document, with the goal of allowing the government to understand more clearly on the concerns of schools and education sectors for the strategy to be refined before the actual implementation. There will also be a Q&A section for the participants to raise questions on the consultation document.
